Are you making an exhibition of yourself?
This saying was one that I remember from my youth. My mother using it to call us children into line if we were acting up in public. So, it had a negative connotation for me.
I have recently been reviewing that perspective. How many of us hold ourselves back in meetings and events because we think it is too pushy or forward to take the space, or air our views? And how has that served us?
The old sales adage is that people cannot buy things they don’t know about. If you are not on the shelf, then you don’t get picked.
We have been thinking about this recently at Chameleon Skills and realising that we can be the best kept secret. We are exceptionally good at what we do, we partner with our clients to ensure individual and organisational success but not everybody knows about us!
So, we decided to discard that narrative from our youth, and make an exhibition of ourselves! Take the bull by the horns and show up and share information about us and the work that we do with leaders, teams and individuals. Discuss our programmes and the modules that we have available.

In keeping with the idea around celebrating who we are and being proud of what we bring to the world, we wanted to share that we are also celebrating our Influential Women in Business Award.
We are proud that we survived the devastation of COVID on our business. We tapped into our chameleon skills, our knowledge, experiences and relationships, and pivoted. We have rebuilt the company, embraced the online world, started creating more flexible products and services and now work locally in UK and SA, and globally in the rest of the world.
